The "Technical"
Stuff
(Warning: May Cause Drowsiness)
Putting a Product Animation on
your website is a lot different than posting a JPG image.
Placing an animation on a web page will require you or your
webmaster to upload a few files and an image directory to your
website. Once the files have been uploaded, you'll need to
paste a very short piece of code to the web page where you want
the animation(s) to appear.
Of course, we provide a set of
instructions for posting your animation(s). The
instructions are written in plain English (not computer-geek
jargon -- no offense, computer geeks!), but we also understand
that the majority of our customers know VERY little about adding
code to websites or uploading files and directories. For
this reason, we (well, Ken) will actually place your
animation(s) on your website for you for an additional $50 fee1.
As an alternative, we can host
the files and directories on our website and simply provide you
with a small piece of code2 to insert on your web page(s) so you won't
have to worry about uploading the necessary files to your
website. Since this option requires us to support the
bandwidth and storage space for your animation(s), there is a
$35 lifetime fee for each animation hosted on our
website.
IMPORTANT: Unless
you know some programming tricks of which we're not aware, you
will not be able to place your animation on eBay. eBay
has some very specific programming that restricts you from
placing this type of content on their site.
1 The $50 fee includes placement
of up to 10 animations on your website. For Ken to upload
the files and animations to your website, you must be able to
provide him with login information for your
domain.
2 For those of you who
are curious, the code inserts an iframe
on your web page(s).
